Deep Blue Green

Hey everyone!!

Ok I know after seeing this look, you all will be like "um that looks like every other smokey look you've posted" and you're most likely right. Last night, I was trying to do a look with my last lancome palette, but for some reason, the colors didn't want to cooperate and I was having THE hardest time blending them together. I tried three different times with three different techniques, but it kept looking like mush. So I gave up, cleaned off the shadows and stuck to my smokey smokey that I love. I didn't like it at all when I finished the look but now that I keep having to look at it, it's not too bad. You're probably all wondering "why post up what you don't love?" and that's only because I want to post up all my looks, good or bad so I can go back and have a look to see what I need to improve on. I'm constantly challenging myself and looking for inspiration because this is something  I truly enjoy with all my heart :)

On a side note, even though classes started, I'm so happy to find out that I'm off on thursdays!! WOOOO! That means a new tutorial atleast once a week if not, more.
And now that I've bored you with my random talk, let's get on to the look!

 both eyes:

Right eye: (yes, I used glitter on this, and you can't even see it!! ugh stupid cameras that can't pick up glitter particles)

To start off, apply a matte eyeshadow base. Then, take a dee bluish green pigment/shadow of your choice
(Mac Deep Blue green pigment sample)

and apply it all over the lid

To look like: Keep the inner corner bare

And take a clean blending brush, and blend it upwards towards the brow.

To look like:

Then, take a matte brown shadow

And blend it above the crease with the pigment

And apply a white shadow as the highlight (The balm shady lady vol. 2 palette)

to look like

And apply the same shade in the inner corner

Be sure to blend it well with the pigment. It will look like:

And now apply glitter with your finger, patting it on ( Lorac's 3-d liquid lustre) (unfocused it a bit to show you the pretty speckles)

I couldn't unfocus it right so I just kept it normal and it looks lame. But you get the idea

And now that the lid is done, let's move on to the lower lashline!
Apply a black liner in the waterline and smudge it out with a purple pigment (Mac grape)

I smudged it a bit more with a pencil brush instead of a concealer brush to give a more smokey effect

And now reapply the black liner as needed, apply a thin line of black liner at the lashline, falsies if you prefer and we're done with the eyes!

Now, for my cheeks, I used my beloved Nars Taj Mahal. I've been using this one everyday since I got it, and I love it. I so wanna wear this as a shadow

To look like

For my lips, I just used a nudey pink gloss (nyx real nude gloss)

To look like

Full Face:

I finally straightened my hair after a billion years and I love it cuz I don't have to mess with it in the morning before class. Too bad I'm really lazy to do this everyday

And that's my look!
Thanks for stopping by,
